In July of 2008, the New Jersey Hero Act was passed
requiring all public high schools in New Jersey to
incorporate information about organ and tissue donation
into their health curriculum. Donate Life New Jersey has
created a classroom guide called High School Heroes to
help teachers meet this educational mandate.
Donate Life New Jersey believes the New Jersey Hero Act
and the High School Heroes Classroom Guide present a
bold and unique opportunity to help close the gap between
people on the waiting list and people who make the decision
to become an organ and tissue donor.
